So I just got my first big girl camera this week and I’m super excited to try it out this weekend! And since I’m in a photography frame of mind (pun intended), today’s Friday Five is all photography themed. Allons-y!
As much as I love crafting and blogging, it’s hard to constantly create while going about everyday life. I definitely admire people who are constantly making, the ones that create something every day are my heros! One such master of her passion is Spanish artist, Sandra Suárez. She creates new masks using cardboard and other readily available materials and photographs herself in them EVERY DAY! They range from whimsical, to funny to mindblowing. Follow her on Instagram and maybe get inspiration for your next costume party.
Annalisa is a high schooler who created authentic self portraits of 100 years of culture/counterculture for her photography class. I give her an A+!
Awesome creepy pictures by Nick Brandt of birds and bats who have been preserved in a chemically charged lake.
Vika Ivanova is a Russian advertiser, teacher, and kickass photographer! She creates narratives out of everyday objects that truly surprise and delight.
And finally, I’m a total nerd and have read the entire manual for my new camera. But gray and black pictures and manufacturers details sometimes aren’t enough. The amazing ladies over at A Beautiful Mess know a thing or eleventy about photography. They are a great resource for novice and expert photographers alike.
Send in some snaps from your awesome weekends!
I like happy people, nice and funny post 🙂
Hey there, I found you via the NaBloPoMo blogroll.
I’m adding this link to my end of NaBloPoMo wrap up post which will publish on December 1. 🙂 Some awesome links here! I especially love the colour pencil images.
As part of NaBloPoMo I try to comment on as many participating blogs as I can, and I also add participating blogs to my feed reader. So I’m just dropping by to let you know I’ve added your blog to my feedreader, I’m reading you loud and clear.
I have created three bundles on Inoreader so that bloggers can easily visit other participating NaBloPoMo bloggers which you can find here –

Your blog is in the second bundle.. I have a link up going at my place so my readers can find participating blogs which you are more than welcome to add your blog link to.
Looking forward to seeing your posts. You may see me drop by again during November, but it might be December before I finish my first drop by to blogs if I don’t get faster at leaving comments. 🙂
Happy NaBloPoMo to you!
